아름다움이 가득한 섬 제주가 자랑하는 세계적인 리조트 제주 신라호텔에서 ‘제 16차 로봇-인간 상호교류 IEEE 국제 심포지움’(The 16th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication, RO-MAN 2007)이 2007년 8월 26일부터 나흘간 개최됩니다.

RO-MAN 2007은 ‘Toward the Era of Human-Robot Symbiosis’를 주제로 로봇의 활동영역이 산업현장에서 생활의 일부로 변화하는 시대를 맞아 로봇과 인간 사이의 상호작용에 대한 내용을 다룰 예정입니다. 본 학술회의는 세계각국에서 활발하게 진행되는 석학들의 논문발표와 토론을 통해 점차 인간에 가까워지는 로봇의 지능, 감정과 같은 인간적 요소에 대한 최신 연구동향을 파악할 수 있는 기회가 마련될 것입니다.

천해의 신비를 간직한 제주에서 펼쳐질 제 16차 로봇-인간 상호교류 IEEE 국제 심포지움에 많은 관심과 성원을 보내주시기 바랍니다.

Tutorial & Special Sessions

We are accepting proposals for half-day tutorials relevant to the themes of IEEE RO-MAN 2007 to be held during the conference (26th~29th August 2007). Please submit the following information (2 pages maximum) to IEEE RO-MAN 2007 Secretariat ( no later than January 15th, 2007.

- Title of tutorial
- Tutorial speaker(s), including short CVs
- Motivation/Background (half page)
- Structure/Overview of tutorial including topics covered
- Links and references relevant to the tutorial
- Any other relevant material

If accepted, the submitted material will be used for advertising the tutorial as part of IEEE RO-MAN 2007.

IEEE RO-MAN 2007 is inviting proposals for organized sessions. Please submit the following information to IEEE RO-MAN 2007 Secretariat ( as soon as possible no later than January 15th, 2007.

- Organizer(s) of special session
- Proposed theme of special session
- One paragraph motivating the relevance of theme to IEEE RO-MAN 2007
- List of 4-5 proposed contributions, including planned titles of paragraph short abstracts of papers.

Double track special sessions (8-10 papers ) will also be considered but should be discussed with the program chairs. If accepted, the organizers of the special session are responsible for high-quality peer-review of the submitted papers according to IEEE standards (2-3 anonymous peer-review, using the IEEE RO-MAN 2007 review criteria and any additional criteria particular to the special session). Additional reviewers will be acknowledged in the proceedings.
